A Georgian mansion built for the tropics
The Vanderbilt Estate is a private Georgian mansion set in seven gardens across 12 acres in Thalang, Phuket, reserved exclusively for one wedding party at a time.
The mansion was designed with a London architect and built over eight years from 2015, with antique teak floors, terracotta tiles and natural linens throughout. A nine-metre cupola lights the Main Hall, and the Dining Room is lined with hand-painted Qing Dynasty wallpaper about 350 years old. The art collection, assembled over more than sixty years, includes antiquities dating back to the 1st century BC.
Seven gardens across 12 acres
The grounds unfold as a sequence of gardens: the Grand Lawn of about 2,500 square metres, a Formal Garden with a pavilion and amphitheatre, a park with an ornamental pond and swans, a Japanese garden with a koi pond, and a Buddha lawn inspired by Sukhothai Historical Park. The 250,000-litre pool is finished in natural volcanic lava tiles.

Exclusive use of the estate
The whole residence and its gardens are reserved for one wedding party, with no competing events or shared spaces.
Ceremonies in the gardens
Ceremonies can take place beneath the Pavilion in the Formal Garden or in other garden settings, designed around the couple's own traditions.
A lawn for large celebrations
The 2,500-square-metre Grand Lawn holds up to 300 guests for a ceremony, 250 for dinner and 350 for the reception.

Upper floor suites
A collection of private suites on the upper floor of the mansion, each with sitting areas overlooking the gardens, bespoke furnishings and fine linens.
