A former hotel on the Calanques coast
Domaine de Canaille is a sea-view villa above Cassis, in the Calanques National Park, that hosts weddings of up to 110 guests outdoors on its terrace and grounds, with twelve bedrooms for 24 guests.
The villa stands within the Calanques National Park, on the site of the former Revestel hotel, whose guests included Virginia Woolf and Winston Churchill, in the domain's own telling. It was renovated in 2017 and has 600 square metres of living space on a 60-hectare estate under Cap Canaille. A private path leads to the beach in under five minutes, and the village and harbour of Cassis are about 15 minutes away on foot.
A wedding held outdoors
Weddings of up to 110 guests take place outdoors, on the terrace above the bay and in the grounds. Wedding guests do not enter the house, so a tent is set up in case of bad weather. The domain accepts only two weddings of around a hundred guests each year, so as not to disturb its neighbours.

Terrace and beach path
A large terrace over the bay of Arene, with the beach reached on foot by a private path in under five minutes.
Pool and hot tub
A pool of 13 by 5 metres, heated to 26 degrees from April to October, and a hot tub kept at 38 degrees all year.
Salons and home cinema
Sea-view salons, a home cinema with a giant screen, and a kitchen with a breakfast bar.
Rest, close at hand
12 rooms and suites. Sleeps 24.
Master suite
A suite of 90 square metres on the top floor with a sea-view bedroom, an office, a large bathroom and two private terraces.
First-floor bedrooms
Seven en-suite bedrooms with shower rooms, five of them with sea views, six of them twin rooms, and a living room used as a dormitory.
Garden twin room
A twin room on the ground floor with a garden view and a shower room.
Getting there
About 45 minutes from Marseille airport. The village and port of Cassis are about 15 minutes away on foot.
