For women who dream of a fairytale wedding dress worthy of a Disney Princess, thanks to Disney’s newest collaboration with bridal designer Alfred Angelo’s, now dreams really do come true.
Following the hugely successful launch of the first Disney Fairy Tale Weddings by Alfred Angelo bridalwear range earlier this year, a second collection has launched. The 2012 collection features eight fashion-forward wedding dress styles inspired by Disney Princess characters, guaranteed to add a touch of magic to your special day.
The Disney Fairy Tale Weddings by Alfred Angelo wedding dress and veil collection is inspired by the style and personality of eight iconic Disney Princess characters: Ariel, Aurora/Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Snow White and Tiana. Each gown is intended to allow brides to showcase their own style and personality. With some gowns boasting a choice of finishing such as zips or corset bodices, brides can now select the wedding dress and veil to match the perfect style for them.
Each bridal gown offers something unique and elegant, from the romantic Sleeping Beauty dress, an organza gown, featuring a willowy, asymmetric skirt and sweetheart neckline with touches of waist beading and rose-inspired flowers, to the exquisite Belle dress, with layers of tulle and net, and a luxuriously bejewelled, encrusted corset bodice. As the newest official Disney Princess, the Rapunzel-inspired gown features subtle draped taffeta reminiscent of the twists and turns of her long braided hair, while the floral sash twinkles with pearls and crystals like the lantern-filled sky.
Adult bridesmaids’ dresses are also included within the Disney Royal Maidens by Alfred Angelo collection, designed to complement the Disney Princess-inspired wedding gowns. These are all available in Disney-influenced colours specifically developed for Disney Fairy Tale Weddings by Alfred Angelo, such as “Beyond The Sea”, “Once Upon A Time” and “Love’s First Blush”, as well as the expanded 2012 Alfred Angelo colour palette of 60 shades. The range includes long and short dresses, in satin, luxe taffeta and chiffon. Children and pre-teens in the wedding party can also feel like a princess for the day as the collection includes Disney Royal Blossoms by Alfred Angelo dresses. The Royal Blossoms line reflects the styling of the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings gowns through similar details and embellishments
Disney Fairy Tale Wedding Jewels, an exquisite collection of Disney Princess inspired jewellery, are designed to complement each bridal gown and maiden dress in the collection. Romantic and timeless, the jewels include a dazzling assortment of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, tiaras and brooches, creating the perfect addition to the dress collection and adding that final touch of sparkle to every outfit.
Carla Bowden, senior manager of Fashion and Home for The Walt Disney Company EMEA commented, “All brides want to look and feel like a princess on their special day and we are delighted to launch a second collection with Alfred Angelo. With this new range, we’re pleased to offer more fashion-forward styles to brides, as well as beautiful Disney Princess-inspired bridesmaids’ dresses to help bring even more Disney magic to their special day.”
