Hotel Review: The View Agadir

Boulevard 20 août, Agadir - Morocco

AD|PR Trip
Opening its doors earlier this year, The View Agadir invited me to stay for three nights to explore everything the incredible hotel has to offer. This has to be one of the best trips I’ve been on; it was exquisite from start to finish, and we packed in so much along the way!

Just three and a half hours flight from Luton gets you to Morrocco, where I was met at the airport by a gentleman in a stunning uniform, complete with white gloves. As the African heat hit me, we made our way to the hotel, which was a jaw-dropping sight.

A long walkway with picturesque, beautifully landscaped gardens greeted us as we entered the impressive façade, and then through the building, a view of the sea beyond met our eyes. The lobby was fragranced with their signature scent, high ceilings, and neutral, relaxing tones. It was just a wonderful welcome.

Staying at The View Agadir

We were treated to a beautiful white suite decorated with striking turquoise blue accents. Light and bright, the suite was perfectly appointed with plenty of spaces to relax, from the balcony to the plush seating areas and the huge bed. It was such a treat to see and hear the sea from our balcony—the perfect place to enjoy the dates, nuts, and champagne left to welcome us—a simply delicious start to the trip!

A Moroccan mosaic adorned the shower, and a standalone bath was tempting. Spa products were available to enjoy alongside his and her basins, and sweet personal touches welcomed us. A quick shower was all there was time for, however, before dinner was served at one of The View Agadir’s four restaurants.

Dining at The View Agadir

We were treated to a gorgeous dinner at Le Sensya, with Italian inspired décor and dishes including exquisite fish and pasta, as well as options fresh from the grill. Breakfast in the morning was at Le V, a vibrant space where breakfast is personalised to your choices and created for you before being delivered direct to your table. Moroccan tea poured from a height is an integral part of a breakfast experience, and it was just delicious.

Experiences at The View Agadir

Next on the agenda was a wonderfully relaxing yoga session which took place by the sea – it was incredible hearing the waves as we stretched, a totally relaxing experience. This was followed by a tour of the hotel before lunch at Le Dielli, a completely chilled outdoor spot for a leisurely lunch. Perfect for a cocktail moment, we enjoyed our food before heading off on a tour of the local city and souk.

It was such a treat to have a guided tour of the incredible-smelling spice market, and learn about argan oil and even see it being made. I could have spent many more hours just perusing the stunning leather goods, ceramics and spices, but there was more to
enjoy back at the hotel, where a romantic dinner had been set up. Entering through fire torches, a violinist serenaded us throughout the delicious three course meal. This would be just perfect for a romantic honeymoon treat, or even a proposal, the whole set up was spectacular.

The Amaya Spa at The View Agadir

After another incredible breakfast, it was time to venture to the Amaya Spa for a traditional Hammam ritual. This is such a big part of Moroccan life, and it was such a privilege to experience it here. After being scrubbed, wrapped in mud, washed and massaged, we relaxed next to the pool with date cakes, almonds and fruit juice – absolute heaven.
The spa offers a range of treatments and rituals that focus on emotional and physical wellbeing, along with a pool, sauna, relaxation area, and fitness centre and wellness workshops that focus on cardio, breath work, yoga and tai chi.

Excursions at The View Agadir

Our final experience was a sunset cable car tour and trip to the beautiful Kasbah Oufella. Camel rides were available at the top as we watched the sun dip low in an incredibly romantic setting. But soon it was time to descend to our final meal at the hotel’s Mima Kitchen, where we enjoyed a tasting menu of neo-Moroccan dishes with traditional flavours fused with contemporary tastes, all accompanied by traditional music. It was the perfect end to a truly exceptional stay. Ideal for a destination wedding, The View Agadir is a beautiful location to host a very special celebration.

Hire the whole hotel exclusively, or take advantage of their flexible spaces that can accommodate up to 600 guests. There are so many places to relax, from the Chay Lounge to the Amaya Spa, and the hotel even hosts a DJ at the pool bar, Le Dielle, and live music at the stylish Cedar Bar. It’s also clear that the hotel builds responsible and ethical practices into their service, supporting local artisans and featuring local produce on the menus.
