Spring wedding trends have been exclusively curated by 5 Star Wedding Directory’s Luxury Event Planners – Cranberry Blue. We’re seeing a lot of couples subconsciously being inspired by the hit series, Bridgerton. It’s quintessentially English and incredibly romantic, with thoughts of trailing wisteria and a delicate colour palette of baby blues, soft lavender and dusky pinks, which all work effortlessly for a wedding.
The style also offers a variety of ways to add elegant details to elevate the luxury feel of your weddings, such as having personalised wax seals or a crest designed that unifies your new families. These can then be used in various forms throughout the celebration, such as on your invitations, printed at the end of your ceremony aisle, or embroidered onto napkins.
Stylised – after so much pent-up frustration at not being able to celebrate properly over the past couple of years, themed parties and also pre-wedding parties are far bigger than a more traditional ‘rehearsal’ dinner. Couples are going all-out to find a way to celebrate their wedding fun and stylishly and choose a design or ‘theme’ that is relevant to them without being too literal or tired but instead done in a stylish and modern way.

Entertainment – similar, considering more exciting and unusual entertainment options for the drink’s reception is undoubtedly increasing. Alongside fabulous musicians, try to think outside the box and find ways to make the sometimes dull reception aspect fun, unexpected and more immersive for your guests. Consider adding performers, dancers or even circus acts into the mix!

Sustainable weddings continue to be more popular this year, and the good news is that you don’t have to have hay bales and teepees to have a more eco-conscious wedding! There are several different ways you can reduce your impact on the environment whilst still having a luxury wedding, such as looking at the carbon footprint of you, your guests and suppliers; having an in-season and locally sourced menu; avoiding using floral foam in your floral arrangements and instead consider using potted plants and flowers or alternative methods of creating the designs you have in mind.
Talk to your suppliers and see their eco plans and ensure they know this is important to you so together you can find more sustainable solutions.

Florist – Wild About
Digital save the dates became more popular during the height of the pandemic as it opened communication with guests more quickly. We see this as continuing into 2022, even with our most significant events. This may be a less likely trend to help give your wedding the 5-star edge. However, you’ll be surprised as it helps elevate the service we, as Event Planners, can provide guests. It also means our clients can let everyone worldwide know the critical information on a personal level so they can plan before the beautiful printed hard-copy invitation arrives.

Pre-wedding speeches – have you thought about having speeches the night before the wedding at a pre-wedding party/dinner? We love this idea as it helps reduce the nerves those people will naturally feel on the wedding day itself, allowing more time for socialising and dancing later.
