About

Sabina Motasem Bride specialises in luxuriously understated, elegantly modern dresses with the glamour and sophistication of old and new Hollywood, geometry and simplicity

Sabina Motasem Bride specialises in luxuriously understated, elegantly modern dresses with the glamour and sophistication of old and new Hollywood, geometry and simplicity combined in simple shapes, the finest silks and a superior cut.

The collection takes inspiration from the Edwardian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras fused with a modern edge. It celebrates the style and beauty of an iconic woman from these eras. Each dress has optional designer details for brides to choose from; whether it’s a choice of beading designs, different sleeves, colours, accessories and from “all over lace” to a touch of lace – there is a style to suit everyone. There is also a range of day-to-evening dresses and tailored jackets soon too.

Sabina Ali, the founder of Sabina Motasem, studied knitwear at university before working on fashion’s high street in design and production and media/marketing as a graphic designer before designing cocktail dresses. In 2005, she created a friend's simple and elegant wedding dress as a gift. Several gifts later, orders quickly followed, and the idea for Sabina Motasem was born.

In the summer of 2006, Sabina won the New Entrepreneur Scholarship award to start a fashion label. She was selected to showcase her collection at Zandra Rhodes’ Fashion and Textile Museum. The following year, the Aurora and Alaya dresses on vampire-like models graced the black carpet at the first Twilight film premiere as Robert Pattison entered London's Leicester Square.

When Will married Kate, the Josephine dress became an instant bestseller when brides were looking for a Pippa Middleton-inspired wedding dress. Sabina Motasem is a brand regularly featured in bridal magazines and blogs and is fast becoming the designer of choice for stylish women.
