Welcome

A Ritz hotel for Rome, restored in 2018

The St. Regis Rome is a belle-epoque hotel opened by César Ritz in 1894, with gilded ballrooms for symbolic ceremonies and receptions and 161 rooms and suites in the centre of Rome.

César Ritz opened the hotel in 1894, and it was the first in Rome to have electric light and en-suite bathrooms. A restoration completed in 2018 returned its belle-epoque interiors to their former richness, from frescoes and crystal chandeliers to gold leaf.
