The Royal Wedding Invitation

When Lily Allen married Sam Cooper the couple were looking to have a fun, relaxed country wedding and their save-the-date cards really reflected that. They chose to have some fun with their cards and had their own faces superimposed onto a couple riding their tractor. They chose a carnival style font to record the details of their wedding date in bright colours to contrast with the black and white photo. And it isnt just the pop princess who likes to poke a little fun at herself, when Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie married actor husband Josh Duhamel the couple had caricatures of themselves printed in the front of their invites.

Supermodel Kate Moss chose to reflect her laid back style when she married her husband Jamie Hince. As you would expect, Kate styled her country themed wedding in a romantic, vintage way with just a hint of glamor. Their invitations were an integral part of this theme letting all their guests know what to expect on the day.

For full on glamour, why not follow in the footsteps of reality TV favorite Kim Kardashian. We all expected nothing but the very best when it came to Kim’s wedding invitations and she didn’t disappoint one bit. Invitations for their August wedding followed the luxurious theme of their sophisticated black and white celebration. The invites themselves were printed in black and white with romantic etching around the edges and they came housed in their own box, but the real celebrity factor came from the gorgeous embellished black crystals.

Of course, when it comes to weddings, 2011 definitely had Royal Wedding fever, with the exciting nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Their invitations were classic and traditional – much as we would expect from the Royals. The crisp white card was be veiled and gilded around the edge with black and gold font for the text.

Now, not everyone can manage to have their invites stamped with the Queens insignia, but if you’re thinking about designing your own then any of these stylish celebrity weddings will help get you started.
