This week the award winning Delfina galleries hosted an outstanding fashion show for the new collection by bespoke Couture women’s wear designer Amanda Thompson, founder of Pussy Willow. 5 Star weddings took to our seats with the other media and a selection of London’s fashion finest to witness her new S/S collection.
In true Thompson style, the show demonstrated her sophisticated & opulent bespoke cocktail, red carpet and bridal gown tailoring to the eagerly awaiting audience.
The show opened with a variety of high fashion streamline silhouette dresses, classic figure hugging designs accentuating the waist and female form, hand stitched and perfectly cut in a beautiful array of timeless pieces. Over 15 exquisite high fashion attires graced the stage with outstanding presence ranging from elegant apparel for parties, splendid dresses for cocktails with friends, high powered ensembles for the workplace and the quintessential high fashion couture wedding gown.
As with every show, there are favourites that stand out and are greatly appreciated by the audience. We found the off the shoulder mermaid style “tomato and grey dress” the statuesque “sea green dress” and the piece de resistance, bridal gown appropriately named the “long white dress.” Took the crown. The show was a fantastic opportunity to witness first hand what pussy willow is all about, and it is quite simply stunning made-to-measure couture for all occasions.
Amanda Thompson has gone from strength to strength with her designs that have been featured in magazines such as Vogue and Fabric.
