Today’s wedding inspiration comes from the beautiful La Corte dei Papi. We wanted and thought about this shooting in the terrible months in which the world stopped. We imagined the dismay, the disappointment of so many couples who had the date of their wedding in the 2020 calendar. We also wanted to give a little push so that life would start again from where it had stopped.
Magritte’s beautiful painting, with the couple with their heads covered, was our source of inspiration. The suggestion of the rolling hills of Cortona, in Tuscany, at “La Corte dei Papi”, with the charm of its interiors, the elegance of the colonnades, were the perfect backdrops where to lay our models. The baroque party hall, where the seduction of gold dyes friezes and frames, we wanted it unusual boudoir were to make our bride wear the tulle and lace of her white dress.
Not only that: here, removed the clothes that covered their faces, the two spouses, in a sort of “first look” said they were ready to say the fateful yes. White and gold, trait d’union between inside and outside, we find them in the mise en place, played down, however, by the more sober style of the pottery and above all by the minimal decoration of dried flowers that we also find in the bouquet of the bride “
