I always love to review 5 Star Hotels, and one hotel that I have longed to visit is the Hanbury Manor Hotel in Hertfordshire. I received an invitation for my family to spend a weekend at one of the most luxurious country hotels and I was delighted and of course only too happy to accept, and this is how our journey begins.
It was a short drive for us on on a crisp and sunny Autumn day to the estate, nevertheless we enjoyed the journey through the country lanes listening to the soulful sounds of Sam Smith. I knew from then this would be a great start to a family weekend away.
As we entered the estate we were greeted by a long line of beautifully tendered oak trees standing proudly in their superiority on a beautifully sunny day. Good morning and welcome were the words of the cherpy Concierge who greeted us at the door. After a swift check in we walked to our room for the weekend. What we did not know at the time was what hiding behind the handcrafted grand oak paneled door.
Rooms
Our room was 337 beautiful garden suite with views over the perfectly manicured lawns of Hanbury Manor golf course. The room was very grand, it was elegant and traditional at the same time with elements of home comforts and a few contemporary details. It had very high ceilings of an ‘opera house’ and decorative coving showing off hand craftmanship of the Georgian era. I was enchanted and fell in love at fist sight with the elegance and grace of this opulent room.
