Hen parties and bridal showers have a certain reputation. One I certainly don’t think is always justified! I was contacted earlier this summer by Aimee (there must be something in the name) to organise a pre wedding send-off for her sister Jen. With Jen and her family and friends flying in from Dubai a month later, the date was fixed. That, along with Aimee wanting to include a surprise performance by Ronan Keating, we were given a bit of a challenge.
Aimee wanted the day to be full of surprises for her sister. This started with arranging some balloons in her room as a surprise for Jen when she came back from lunch. Once ready Jen was taken to the venue which had been kept a secret.
Jen loves Annabel’s so we hired the beautiful private Flower Room for dinner, adorned in a mix of pink peonies, candles, as well as super chic lip and heart balloons.
After a dinner, and lots of champagne, Jen and her friends were driven back to the Soho Hotel, everything still being a total surprise. We managed to get all of the girls in the Library where they were surprised by Ronan Keating who wowed everyone with a private performance. After the epic entertainment, Ronan escorted Jen and her friends down to the private karaoke room where they sadly said goodbye to him but continued the celebrations with the help of the karaoke machine! Now that’s how you celebrate before your wedding!
