Now, this is a unique wedding idea if ever I heard one! Marriage in the Sky could be termed, literally, as ‘a marriage made in heaven’. Designed especially ‘for couples who want to bring their chapel a little closer to the angels on their special day’.
Marriage in the Sky invites bride and groom, guests and witnesses to join them for a ceremony held on a beautifully decorated platform no less than 50 meters up in the air! This unique event is ideal for those wanting to shun the traditions on their wedding day and add a bit of a thrill! Furthermore, the ceremony can be held anywhere from a private beach to the Grand Canyon!. If the dangling ceremony isn’t enough to get your adrenaline going then why not bungee jump off the platform after getting married? The option is there for those who want to!
So how does it actually work? Marriage in the Sky is hosted on a platform, where 20 guests are strapped in an aircraft seat, suspended at a height of 50 meters by a team of professionals. A second crane with an additional platform (or more if required) at the same height as the marriage platform, can also be erected for entertainment such as music or dinner. Developed by Events in The Sky, they maintain the key elements to their offering is exclusivity and safety.
‘We want to provide our clients with the most exclusive experiences they have ever dream of but first and foremostly safety is top of the agenda.’ The company’s high standards and excellent safety record is probably reasoned enough for it being operated in more than 15 countries including the USA, Canada, Australia and South-Africa. As yet it hasn’t been tried out by anyone in the UK…so why not take the plunge and be the first!
