Merete + Nicholas Weddings in Tuscany

luxury wedding favors surreyMerete & Nicholas exchanged their vows on September 24th, 2010 surrounded by 60 of their family and friends. From Merete’s stunning dress, the gorgeous little flower girls and page boys walking down the aisle to a string quartet and tenor, to the gorgeous grand villa as their backdrop, everything about their wedding was brimming with timeless elegance.

The ceremony was held in the beautiful garden of a Medici villa designed by the famous Italian artist/architect Bernardo Bountalenti in 1594, a beautiful location in a Renaissance setting full of history and art. The garden’s panoramic views over the rolling hills of the Florence countryside and the ancient hilltop village of Carmignano are breathtaking.

After the ceremony, guest enjoyed a Tuscany aperitive and then continued the celebrations at a local restaurant Biagio Pignatta, famous for its traditional Tuscan dishes all made from market fresh ingredients, and a great selection local wine from the surrounding vineyards which are know for its superior wine since the Middle Ages. Married in Carmignano Tuscany, Italy September 24th, 2010

Details: Photographer: Lisa Poggi was the amazing photographer behind the day, capturing the most beautiful moments in a very natural way. Flowers: The bouquets were designed by Giardino di Guilia. Jennifer chose a palette of pink with splashes of white. Merete’s bouquet was a mix of pink roses and native foliage wrapped with a sage silk ribbon.
