Ashanna and Calvin chose The Cooper Estate in Miami, Florida for their exotic and natural wedding. Surrounded by palm trees, waterfalls, greenery and natural wood, they celebrated their wedding day in style!
Exotic palms and blue skies
Ashanna chose a fitted dress that kicked out to a stunning train. Covered in beaded detail, the strapless Calla Blanche dress also featured appliqued florals and a beautiful lace edging to the spectacular train. Ashanna hid a pair of neutral shoes under her dress, but added some bling with sparkling heels and chose to forego a veil as there was so much detail in the dress. Bridesmaids dazzled in rose gold and the groom and groomsmen scrubbed up smartly in black suits, with Calvin sporting a slick black bow tie. In an outdoor setting, you can really have fun with the detail on your outfits. Add some sparkle to a natural backdrop.
In a sunken grotto surrounded by tropical palm fronds and sheltered by exotic trees, Ashanna and Calvin said their vows. Slices of natural wood displayed flickering candles and the chairs added a dash of golden glamour to the occasion. Flowers were kept neutral but abundant in white with plenty of leafy foliage to keep with the natural theme. Bridesmaids held smaller versions of Ashanna’s beautiful bouquet.
The reception was held in an impressive rustic barn with heavy wood panelling and atmospheric lighting. More exotic greenery and white flowers adorned the tables along with candles and clean white linen and drapes, lifting the palette and adding a softer touch to the room. Adding white accents to a dark base colour makes such a pretty contrast. A pure white cake created a beautiful centrepiece and the couple and their family and friends danced the night away before departing through a tunnel of sparklers.
