Such a gorgeous night…
The buzz as I entered the East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf was thrilling. Brides, planners and bloggers were coming together for a luxury bridal show, hosted by BRIDES magazine and bridalwear expert, Les Trois Soeurs.
The gorgeous glass ceiling and beautiful florals by Maison de Fleurs created a stunning atmosphere and I simply had to have my photo taken against the striking floral wall. A crowd had gathered, so naturally, I was interested to see what was going on. None other than Jimmy Choo himself had graced us with his presence, along with his wife, and I thought he might like the honour of having his photo taken with me (…or maybe it was the other way round…!)
After that flurry of excitement, we had a drink and took our seats for the first runway show. We were welcomed by Brides editor, Jade Beer and Lady Lingfield of Les Trois Soeurs before enjoying the latest collections from a range of designers. Temperley Bridal, Anna Kara, Caroline Castigliano, Lova Bridal, Daalarna Couture and David Fielden gowns swept down the catwalk before we were charmed by the dulcit tones of Earl, a fabulous singer.
An interview with American designer Hayley Paige followed, and a little sneak peek into her world and what she thinks is hot right now. (Feathers and pearls are both in, by the way!) Hayley wore five dresses at her own wedding – we love the idea of a different gown for each part of your day!
We were then treated to a catwalk of the latest Hayley Paige collection – with gorgeous sparkling crystal detailing, beautifully detailed embellishments and, of course, feathers and pearls, these gowns are the stuff of dreams.
Another interval to enjoy the brilliant atmosphere, top up our champagne and catch up with some of the suppliers who were exhibiting at the fabulous event.
After enjoying the final runway of the evening with some truly high voltage glamour, we breezed into the night with our lovely gift bag, floating on the thrill of a gorgeously fabulous evening.
Thank you to BRIDES magazine and Les Trois Soeurs for a truly memorable evening.
