London’s luxury bridal event, The Designer Wedding Show will take place in Battersea Park, London on 7 – 9 October 2011.

Only the finest companies are invited to participate in this incredibly stylish and elegant event. This year Browns Bride has chosen The Designer Wedding Show to launch the new Autumn bridal collection from designer to the stars, Vera Wang. Other designers who will be showing their latest collections include Matthew Williamson, Manuel Mota, Sassi Holford, Elie Saab, Stephanie Allin, Lisa Redman, Emma Hunt, Sarah Janks, Louise Selby, Heirloom Couture, Pronovias, Ritva Westenius and Temperley London.

The Designer Wedding Show

This year’s bridal catwalk shows will be styled by Condé Nast Brides’ Fashion Director, Bryony Toogood, with hair by the fabulous Michael Van Clarke and make-up by Bobbi Brown. The four times daily catwalk will showcase more than 100 designs from a stellar line up of designers at 10.30am, 12 noon, 2 pm and 3.30 pm.

Other carefully selected participants to help you source your exquisite must-haves for a fabulous wedding will this year include; millinery from Edwina Ibbotson and Janie Lawson, jewellery from Kirsten Goss and Gillian Million flowers from Amanda Austin and Mary Jane Vaughan, cakes from Linda Fripp, Anna Tyler and Peggy Porschen; shoes from Benjamin Adams, Freya Rose and Harriet Wilde, stationery from Chartula Studio, I Am Nat, Hello!Lucky and Smythson, flower girl dresses from Little Bevan and royal designer Nikki Macfarlane, gift lists from Peter Jones and Notonthehighstreet.com plus venues including The Mandarin Oriental, Fulham Palace, Leeds Castle and the newly restored Dumfries House. Amongst the 140 companies exhibiting at the show will also be the finest designer favours as well as photographers, honeymoons, vintage cars, caterers and marquees.

A new addition to this year’s show will be our On the Sofa feature, a magazine-style boutique chat show in which Condé Nast Brides will talk you through the myriad details that can elevate your look from good to great. Special guests include; Paul Herrington, Bobbi Brown’s Head of Artistry UK, who will be revealing all the clever bridal make-up tips, Michael Van Clarke, celebrity hairdresser, who will be sharing styling tips and brilliant ideas for your big day. Whether for the bride, the mother of the bride, the groom, the bridesmaids, the venue or the flowers, being On the Sofa is the perfect source of expertise and inspiration.

We are delighted to announce that The Designer Wedding Show is sponsoring White Hot Hope- Vow to Make a Difference, a charitable venture which Brides magazine is running through November to raise vital money for the wonderful Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. One pound from every ticket sold in September will be donated to this fantastic cause.

The bars and eateries at the event are catered by Mosimann’s – fresh from catering the wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William of Wales. Celebrity cake-maker Peggy Porschen, whose enviable client list most recently includes Kate Moss andJamie Hince, will be recreating her Belgravia parlour at the show. Visitors will be able to treat themselves to one of Peggy’s fabulous cakes with tea or a glass of pink champagne.
