Inspired by 1930s Art Deco, Zuhair Murad’s Spring 2019 collection is full of geometrics and architectural inspired silhouettes. These dresses are bold and glamourous, capturing some of that old school flare, and then adding feathers to it. Appliques, crystals and lace adorn his designs, with gowns featuring cute bows at the waist, dazzling cover ups and an epic over-skirt with pockets.
So grab a Jag, some dreams of the Chrysler Building and get ready for some gorgeous gownspiration. I’ve chosen my favourite five, but you can see the full collection here.
Ruby
Rocking illusion sleeves and capped shoulders dripping with jewels, this one is topped off with a flick of feathers at the bottom. Imagine cruising down the aisle in this, sparkling away with all the glamour of 1930s Hollywood.

Reina
With a simple floating tulle skirt, the bodice deserves to rock. Sparkling crystals create intricate patterns, reaching up to a jewel neckline and tumbling onto the skirt below. A simple skirt means the top half can be as detailed as you like – a great combination.

Romy
With a classic silhouette and the prettiest bow, Murad pops something in the collection for his die hard fans who love his signature floral embroidery. I love the cute bow detail at the waist and the appliqued bodice creates the perfect combination.

Rassia
I love the sweetheart neckline that scoops to cute little capped sleeves. And the floral detail is just so pretty! The overskirt is detachable, and it has pockets! Not only on trend for 2019, but just really handy whilst being effortlessly chic.

Regina
Beautiful Art Deco embellishment and a flowing skirt, this one is a sparkling treat! With illusion sleeves and crystal scattered bodice, I love the way the embellishments spread down the tulle skirt.
