We were so pleased to have been invited the first ever press launch and an exclusive preview of The Henry More Foundation’s beautiful country Hertfordshire estate, showcasing ‘Weddings at The Henry Moore Foundation’ hosted by Harbour and Jones Events.
The wedding professionals living in and around London where picked up by a minibus, where breakfast and hot drinks were served and they made their way up to Hertfordshire.
On arrival, with welcome drinks at the newly refurbished Hoops Inn, with opening introductions from Charles Joint of The Henry Moore Foundation and Patrick Harbour of Harbour & Jones we headed off for a tour around Henry Moore’s estate and inspirational Maquette Studio with a peek at the Sheep Field Barn Gallery which was something to be admired.
Although it was not quite spring, one could imagine how idyllic a setting it would be for an English country wedding. The beautiful 70-acre Foundation estate has many of Sir Henry Moore’s spectacular sculptures and incredible works of art set against the rolling countryside.
The Foundation’s medieval Aisled Barn was decorated for a wedding, what was really lovely was that each table had a different style and theme. Cocktails and canapes were served courtesy of Harbour & Jones Events with equally delicious lunch served with specially selected wines.
The opportunity to network with members of the Foundation and other wedding professionals over lunch was invaluable. It was lovely to speak chat to Bernadette from Dream Occasions who is also a director of UKAWP and organiser of The Wedding Sanctuary. To round up the afternoon, we had the opportunity to decorate some cupcakes which were such fun.
We would love to recommend this venue to any bride looking for a truly English Country Wedding.
Sample ceremony package: Hire of the Aisled Barn from £3000, the package includes drinks, canape reception, two-course menu and all equipment hire from £55 per person.
