We just love a Christmas wedding, and here is a wonderful winter wedding set In Philadelphia captured by Right Start Photography.
We first met Devon and Pat at their engagement session in Philadelphia. They were one of the few couples we get each year that call us up, loving our work, and book without ever meeting us.
I knew the moment they agreed to have a sunrise engagement session they were the perfect match for us. Devon + Pat have a love story that would rival a Nicholas Sparks novel. They met through a mutual friend at the age of 15, and remained close until the fall of 2003 when they decided to officially “date”.
During the toasts, the best man spoke about how Pat came home from a date with Devon and told his best friend “I’m going to marry that girl”.
Everyone laughed at the whims of a high school boy, but alas, 11 years later, in a rare relationship that survived both high school and college, here we are celebrating their incredible love story. And it was one for the record books.
Devon surprised Pat with a stunning Rolls Royce to cart them around the city after their nuptials. What a fun vintage car.
With 11 bridesmaids and 13 groomsmen, the entire day was one giant party! You may recognize this ballroom from the dance competition scene in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’. It was decorated to the nines with Christmas lights and beautiful pine garland.
The tables were adorned with candles, and the centerpieces were an enchanting mix of roses and other florals by Carl Alan Florist.
If the decoration wasn’t enough to blow your mind, the food was out of this world as well. The cocktail hour consisted of endless seafood, pasta, and tacos; the main meal was 4 courses; and the dessert was an entire ROOM overflowing with every kind of fruit and cake you can imagine, an ice cream bar, cannolis, and even funnel cake fries!
We danced the night away to the rocking live band, Monte Carlo, and it was such a pleasure to get to know these two on a deeper level.
