Welcome

Ceremonies in the chapel

A castle in rural Aberdeenshire that is a family home as well as a venue, with a private chapel at its heart.

The private chapel is at the heart of the castle and takes up to 120 guests for a ceremony. It is private and not on consecrated ground, and it is not bound by any specific faith. Other ceremony locations are the Tenants' Hall, the Drawing Room, the Entrance Hall and several other locations in the grounds. The house can be hired for a ceremony-only booking, limited to certain times of year and to midweek or off-peak dates. Dogs are allowed at the chapel, and the chapel has disabled access.

Dinner and dancing in the Tenants' Hall

The Tenants' Hall is directly below the chapel and is used for dinner and dancing, with stained glass mullioned windows and parquet flooring. It seats up to 90 guests for dinner and takes up to 150 for a standing reception. For smaller weddings the Dining Room and Drawing Room are used for dinner. The house works with each couple on the timings of the day, to suit the season and the guests. Live music and DJs are possible.
