Loro Piana
Loro Piana’s Rimella is a lightweight blend of cashmere and silk in sage green, with alternating ribbed and cable-knit rows and a neat line of pearlescent buttons. Wear it buttoned, as a shirt, with tailoring. £1,255.

How to make it last
Fold cashmere, never hang it, or it will stretch at the shoulders. Wash it rarely, by hand in cool water, and dry it flat. Pilling at the elbows and sides is normal in the first weeks; a cashmere comb takes it off. Store it clean over summer, with cedar, not in plastic.
