Louis Poulsen's 'PH 3/2' table lamp is built on Poul Henningsen's three-shade system, first developed in 1925 to eliminate glare through even light distribution. Mouth-blown glass, layered across a top shade and smaller lower shades, directs a soft, downward-facing light.
