Argyle's diamond grid traces back to Clan Campbell's tartan in the Scottish Highlands, later popularized on golf sweaters by the Duke of Windsor in the 1920s. Arch4's 'Sloane' cashmere sweater draws on that heritage with its colorful pattern and then reinforced by the contrasting runner stitches.
