A Splash of Red in Vancouver – a real wedding

In a place where glamour meets modern elegance, Jolin and Ben tied the knot in a stunning, charming wedding. The day was filled with laughter and celebration as meticulous planning came together in a beautiful celebration.

Jolin chose an A-line style dress, with structured strapless bodice and full train and accessorised her dress with Bvlgari necklace and Van Cleef & Arpel red earrings. Beautifully embellished, the bodice was scattered with sparkling crystals that reached onto the petal strewn skirt. Giving the illusion of walking through beautiful white rose petals, Jolin’s dress matched her bouquet perfectly. The flowers were pale and blush pink roses, mixed with white roses and shaped into a small bouquet. The bridesmaids’ smaller posies matched the bride’s, and their dresses mirrored Jolin’s soft, draped tulle skirt, in the palest of pinks. A smart black tux was the order of the day for Ben, with matching pink rose buttonhole.

The white and pink colour palette set the theme for the day, with floral decorations following suit as well as the table décor, cakes and the cutest sweet table. We love a blush pink colour palette, and the mix of glass and crystal really makes it shine.

Choosing a grand, but neutral room meant that the couple could really stamp their own personality on the day and go with the colours they wanted whilst keeping the elegance and glamour of the venue. Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver offered just the right mix of charm and formality.

A beautiful ceremony was followed by photos against a range of backdrops, from natural garden to Vancouver skyline. Splashes of red pop up through the couple’s wedding photos – a lucky colour in Asian culture. And a couple of quick changes saw Jolin in two beautiful red dresses; one for the cake cutting and another for the couple’s first dance. Jolin had already hidden a bright red pair of Manolo Blahniks under her wedding dress as a secret pop of colour as she walked down the aisle. We always love it when brides wear bright shoes – just a little bit of fun – you can go for whatever you like! Red like Jolin, kitsch, super sparkly or even embellished trainers like Serena Williams!

Such a fun day, congratulations Jolin and Ben!
