That slightly tarnished, weathered look that buffs the shine off copper and softens rose gold. Rust is industrial, old, but unrelenting. It’s stood the test of time, and lends itself perfectly to an autumnal palette. Here are my favourite ways to incorporate a rust palette into your day.
Flowers and fashion
Pair pure whites with rust to really make the tone pop. Or mix with earthy burgundy, brown and purple for an indulgent display. Rust bridesmaids make an elegant autumnal statement, or give it to the groom. It’s the perfect colour for an on-trend suit.

Plush vintage velvets work beautifully, and a boho trend really lends itself to this palette. Gorgeous deep rust runners on tables, natural wood and tarnished metal are great additions. And twinkling fairy lights really lift the palette to add a sprinkling of magic.
