Today’s country chic real wedding set in Tuscany was planned by IWP Collection. It was word of mouth that brought the bride and groom from Malta to this stunning location in Tuscany.
Ruth & Nicky had been looking for a beautiful 17th century villa in Tuscany for her dream – a country-chic wedding. They asked their local wedding planner (Dreemz planners – weddings in Malta) who immediately got in touch with us, certain that we would have been able to help their dream come true. As so we did!
The couple came to meet us in Italy a few weeks later. We spent some time chatting and heard all about how they met before we took them to see our selection of beautiful villas. Of course all our stunning renaissance villas had to be ruled out, as they wouldn’t suit a country chic wedding. During the weekend we ended up visiting five villas and exploring some delightful accommodation options for the wedding guests.
By the time their Italian weekend came to an end, Ruth & Nick had fallen in love with what they said was the perfect place for their ceremony and booked it straight away.
We organized for them three different events over the wedding weekend: a double welcome dinner and wine tasting on the Friday – one for the bride with her party, and a separate one for the groom with his family & friends – then the ceremony, reception and after party on the Saturday, and finally a farewell aperitif party on the Sunday.
The wedding ceremony itself was delicately decorated, with simple elements that enhanced the already perfect setting overlooking Florence. What made the event a real success was a meticulous attention to little details, the small things that nobody notices per se but that make a huge difference in everybody’s memory.
The after-party was absolutely amazing. Glistening Tuscan sunflowers were dotted here and there to enhance the warmth of the ambience and celebrate the glow of the Italian sun!
