Catwalk trends transfer to bridal
We’re always excited to see how the catwalks influence bridal design, so today, we’ve chosen five looks from couture shows that we think will be hot when it comes to gowns to die for.
Pink
There were many pretty pink tones on the catwalks, and we loved it. A gorgeous, muted pink is a perfect alternative to white – warm and so girly, we can see a lot more pink making its way into bridal gown designs.
Ruffles
We’ve seen ruffles all over the place! From full ruffled skirts to subtle, delicate ruffles on bodices, they add texture and movement, and we think they are just super fun!
Floral
Flowers have always been a favourite for bridal embellishments, but now we’re seeing bold, 3D and striking colours for the floral designs.
Sheer
Daring brides are in for a treat if this trend moves to bridal design! There has been so much inspiration on the runways, and we think these gowns are so pretty. Teamed with texture, embellishments and subtle colour, sheer doesn’t have to be just about revealing flesh.
White
A classic. But what has the catwalk offered the old faithful white wedding dress? Well, mix up the trends above and team them with a bridal white! Embellishments, florals, and sheer fabric all twist the white dress – and we think it’s fascinating!
There are so many ways to wear these trends and overlapping looks! We love how the designers have paired up sheer and florals, ruffles and pink… If you want more inspiration for your wedding gown, look at our blog on alternative wedding dresses.
