Once Upon A Fairytale At The Four Seasons Hotel London
Once upon a fairytale… an exclusive luxury showcase by Scarlet and Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane.
The iconic Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane was the ‘go to’ destination for a select group of brides-to-be over the weekend as a number of the most sought after luxury suppliers took part in the exclusive invitation only ‘Once upon a fairytale…’ showcase by international wedding planners Scarlet Events and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
The showcase was conceptualised by Scarlet and themed around a Bride’s childhood fantasy of her wedding, a magical fairytale setting with flowers in abundance and colours including many different shades of pink. Scarlet wanted to create a slightly modern adaptation with an element of nostalgia that would echo a bride’s memories of her childhood. One supplier from a wide range of areas including design, fashion entertainment and production were hand selected by Scarlet and Four Seasons to participate in this showcase based on their level of craftsmanship, quality of service and ability to create an amazing experience for their clients.
The Four Seasons generously opened up their venue across two days to allow press, industry professionals and private clients access to this wonderful event which was split into five different areas showcasing a number of unique designs:
The romantic welcome with a sea of candlelight, with a couture gown by Suzie Turner placed on a turntable inside a bespoke floral arch by Philippa Craddock. Harpist Melissa Parmar welcomed the guests with her beautiful golden harp whilst a range of delightful and refreshing cocktails were on offer by The 43 Club. Design in Scent were brought in to create a bespoke welcoming scent of White Oud which really enhanced the atmosphere.
Suzie Turner Boutique
Brides entered into Suzie’s boutique which featured a number of bespoke designs all hand-made by Suzie and her team including a number of bridal and couture dresses. Suzie’s boutique was given its own scented ‘Boho’ fragrance courtesy of Gemma Hopkins at Design in Scent.
The guests were then welcomed into the ballroom area where Scarlet had designed a gorgeous mirrored ‘Shoe island’ for Freya Rose and her range of exclusive designer shoes.
Adjacent to shoe island was the wonderful selection of jewel encrusted clutch bags courtesy of Sangeeta Assomull and Judith Leiber Couture whilst Ruth Kaye and her team of stationery experts had a stunning display of stationery in their Paris armoire cupboard supplied by the fabulous Greathire.
There was plenty more on offer for the guests as Filmatography showcased their drones whilst giving guests a cinematic experience of their work on a large screen. A gorgeous white table by Greathire was the centrepiece of the room as it showcased styling by Scarlet. Philippa Craddock created an enormous tree made entirely from flowers and Duchess & Butler finished off the tablescape with their range of Fiori glassware and hand painted Valentina charger plates. Ruth Kaye created the plate menus and the super popular agate cut place cards.
Danny Litchfield and Danny Mills came highly recommended by the Four Seasons and rocked the crowd with their incredible performances on a custom stage built by Smoking Gun production. The Groom was not forgotten as Joe Woolfe of Scabal (Savile Row) displayed his range of menswear and bespoke shoes.
Scarlet and Greathire chose the plush sofas and sparkly furniture for the beautiful lounge area by the bar which itself sported a white and gold chesterfield finish. Perfect for Rew and his team at The 43 Club who were behind the incredible cocktail menu including ‘Love potion’, ‘Mad tea’ and ‘Bibbidi bobbidi boo’.
For champagne lovers, Moet Hennessy’s private events division were exclusively brought in to offer a champagne and wine tasting experience and this was not all as guests were treated to wedding cake tasting by the wonderful GC Couture and mouth-watering canapés by Four Seasons’ new Executive Chef Romuald Feger.
The second table design by Scarlet was a romantic ‘pretty in pink’ theme with blush and nude colours complimented by a beautiful low floral display from Philippa Craddock. Duchess & Butler displayed their 24carat gold Versailles tableware, complimented by Gold Napoleon chairs from Greathire.
The table was finished off by Spring dusk and Amorosa scented candles by Design in Scent, nude pink plate menus from Ruth Kaye and the most incredible nude pink and gold detail cake by GC Couture.
The Four Seasons’ Oak room was the setting for a magical 30-foot-long candle lit banquet table conceptualised by Scarlet, and set under the giant chandeliers of the room. This table was the crown jewel of the showcase with a full and fabulous candle lit floral display by Philippa Craddock. Ruth Kaye design provided golden feather place cards and mirror charger plates whilst and gold cutlery and glassware were supplied Duchess & Butler. Greathire’s gold and latte Chandelle chairs were chosen to finish off the table and the room was given a touch of colour by Smoking Gun production with the gorgeous aroma of Royal Oud supplied by Design in Scent and their diffusion technology.
GC couture were asked to put together a stunning showpiece fairytale cake in a watercolour finish and they created a nine tier masterpiece with fine artwork, incorporating a door between the bottom tiers that led into a magical setting within the cake itself.
The finale of the fairytale experience took place in the gorgeous pine room with its painted clouds and ornate gold chandeliers setting the perfect backdrop for our unique ‘showcase within a showcase’ concept. Fine jewellers Gismondi 1754 created a pop up boutique and showcased over £1m of their bespoke hand made jewellery. The service extends to customising the designs around the bride’s dress. A mouth watering dessert station by Four Seasons and exquisite martini bar by The 43 Club were placed in the boutique for guests to enjoy as they shopped for their jewellery.
‘Once upon a fairytale…’ was a roaring success and did exactly what we set out to do from day one – to showcase what can be achieved for a Bride and Groom’s special day when a select group of amazing suppliers come together to put on an astounding event. I would like to thank the Four Seasons and all of our partners and suppliers in creating a wonderful and memorable experience for our guests’.
