Internationally renowned designer Caroline Castiglianolaunched her exquisite 2011 bridal collection to great acclaim at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London earlier this year.
The new collection is all about ‘relaxed feminine glamour’ with stunning and effortlessly luxurious pieces. The collection holds a lot of soft tulle and lace as well as key signature gowns with structured fishtails and statement organza.
This collection sees a lot of added detail and embellishments to the designer’s trademark designs and, although the cut and silhouette are still very much Caroline Castigliano, she has also introduced heavier laces, special beading and more intricate touches to each gown.
When asked about the new collection, Caroline Castigliano commented, “The inspiration for the latest collection was the desire to create ‘red carpet understated glamour’. I want all brides wearing a piece from this collection to feel so beautiful as if they wanted to say ‘I made no effort I always look like this I am incredibly beautiful and I have great style!!'”
Those looking for maximum red carpet glamour are recommended to view ‘Paris’, a striking silk duchess satin fishtail gown with detachable peplum and handcrafted beaded belt, and ‘Wisteria’ featuring crossover back silk organza straps and a soft fishtail style skirt with pleated cumber band and corded lace bust cups. Those seeking the perfect fairytale wedding gown, should look no further than ‘Eugenie’ with its Parisian corded lace corset, sweetheart neckline and pleated silk organza skirt with side pockets and satin sash detail.
So how does the designer describe the Castigliano bride? “Our brides are women with a definite sense of style who are aware of fashion and the latest trends; they love the beauty of fabrics and appreciate fine tailoring. They understand the importance of investing in quality fabrics and beautifully cut clothes and they want to make a statement at their wedding.”
