Made up of 15 stunning bridal designs, Shanna Melville’s new collection has been inspired by Shanna’s travels around the world.
As well as the design of the dresses, the fabrics have had a global route too. Shanna has scoured the corners of the globe to find the finest, most beautiful fabrics to create her amazing dresses.
With fabrics from Italy, France, Portugal and Asia, Shanna also worked closely with a hand-beading expert in India, creating beautiful beaded designs for the collection.
The soft, flowing fabrics are a key part of the feel of the collection, making this range perfect for laid-back, boho brides.
Using silk chiffon, silk organza and a touch of tulle, Shanna kept the feel very ethereal and relaxed. She used French lace and gorgeous Indian hand-beading to compliment the fabrics and complete the look.
The colour palette is neutral – featuring warm ivory and a hint of nude and the dresses feature delicate Bardot sleeves, open backs and spaghetti straps – making them ideal for summer brides or destination weddings.
The collection’s bohemian vibe lent itself perfectly to the sun-soaked photoshoot in Byron Bay, Australia. The powder-soft sand and gleaming sea made a perfect backdrop to celebrate these gorgeous bridal styles.
Shanna always has her clients in mind, “Whenever I am designing a new collection, I always try and channel my type of bride – she is someone who loves to travel, a free-spirited thinker and someone looking for a dress that’s a little different to the norm. I also believe the brides come to me looking for high-quality pieces that exude luxury and subtle sort of glamour”.
All Shanna Melville dresses are made-to-measure, so each and every bride will be able to walk down the aisle with a bespoke-fitting gown that complements their figure beautifully. At Shanna’s welcoming London studio, each bride will have a one-on-one appointment to turn her dress dreams into a reality and the team will be there every step of the way, right through to the final fitting, to ensure the bride’s vision is met.
Dresses in the 2018 collection start at £2,000 and are available from shannamelville.com and from Luella’s Bridal in Wimbledon, London.
