With feathers, floating sleeves and dashes of chenille and velvet, Marchesa’s Fall 2019 is everything we want for an autumnal collection. A total contrast to the rough and stiff sparkling embellishments of other gowns, these romantic, touchable, soft velvety touches welcome the change in season beautifully. Designed by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig for Marchesa, these creations are far from frumpy, however. Elegant, soft and undeniably chic, I adore the lack of stiff structured corseting, which leaves these dresses free and whimsical, perfect for an autumn wedding.
With tulle hugging the shoulders and a simple, smooth A line shape, the beauty is in the little details. With feathers, silk and tiny pearl beads hidden within the tulle swathe, this cosy creation hides its jewels for the beady eyed.
With streams of pearls running down the skirt and a beautiful design travelling round the skirt to match the patterned bodice, this is a gorgeously soft dress with a gentle sweetheart neckline and delicate layered train.
Perfect for a day with a little chill in the air, the illusion capped sleeves dip down to a deep V neckline, covered in leaves and flowers that are scattered onto the skirt and draped sides, with a stunning train.
Bell sleeves of soft chenille lace and the prettiest ribbon drawing in the waist, this gown has gentle boho vibes, whilst also bearing elegance and beauty through the deep V neckline and floating skirt.
Pearl roses, satin ribbon and feathers decorate this super soft layered gown. Another with an unstructured, comfortable bodice that reaches up to wide straps. The embellishment is left for the bodice, leaving the skirt gently flowing below with soft layers floating into a spectacular train.
I’ve fallen in love with this soft and elegant collection. You can see the full collection here, and head over to our luxury wedding dress page for more gorgeous designs.
