They will be some of the most sought after seats in London – tickets for the own-name fashion shows are strictly limited because they showcase the most inspirational and directional bridal designs and are the ones to watch for insider inspiration for the forthcoming season.
Taking place during 20 & 21 May in Battersea Evolution, White Gallery London 2012 Fashion Shows will unveil some of the finest 2013 bridal collections to top UK and overseas buyers and influential worldwide press.
The glamour of each show will be preceded by some bubbly treats and a bit of gossip at the welcoming reception in the ‘Kissing Room’.
Sunday 20 May 2012
10.00am Stewart Parvin
While retaining his signature aesthetic of classic elegance for 2013, Stewart Parvin is giving the collection a lighter, fresher, younger more feminine edge. Using only the best quality fabrics sourced from France, Italy and the UK, the new collection upholds the standards of quality and design integrity for which Stewart Parvin is renowned.
12.00pm Ian Stuart
Drawing inspiration from a recent break in the French capital, Ian has used his masterful draping skills to recreate rippled fondant textures he saw used by couture confectioners, and created a sugary pastel colour palette as seen in the finest Parisian tea-room décor. In true Ian Stuart style, different eras are depicted and reworked for the modern bride. The 2013 collection includes hints at Edwardian, Jacobean as well as the style iconic 50s and 60s. And for the fashion-savvy bride, Ian has experimented heavily this season with reworking the composition of the traditional wedding gown.
2.00pm Alan Hannah
Think big skirts, with the rustle of paper taffeta and sharp fitted bodices in an array of fabulous beaded laces and damasks. Debutant styles are back with a real sense of drama and presence – cowl necklines in silk slipper satin with plunging backs and gorgeous accessories to give maximum sophistication and timeless style. Texture is the key, we are using the most luxurious Italian silks with intricate detailing and hand beading. Lace is also prominent, but lace with a difference. Alan Hannah want to provide some surprises too so will keep those under wraps until the White Gallery!
