Andrea Corr married Brett Desmond: Andrea Corr, the lovely lead singer of The Corrs, married Brett Desmond, son of Irish billionaire Dermot Desmond, in a beautiful ceremony that combined glamour with Irish heritage. The fairytale wedding took place in the gorgeous Miltown Malbay, County Clare, at St. Joseph’s Church, in front of 400 of their nearest and dearest. After the ceremony, the party moved to the 5-star Doonbeg Golf and Spa Resort, a luxurious hideaway on Ireland’s west coast, where the Irish elite gathered to witness the nuptials.
The guest list included a who’s who of famous faces from music, sport, and beyond. Bono, Andrea’s longtime friend and fellow Irish music legend was in attendance, along with golfer Padraig Harrington and footballer Gordon Strachan. Their presence added a bit of glamour to an already sparkly occasion.
Andrea’s bridal party was gorgeous. Her sisters and fellow bandmates Sharon and Caroline Corr were her bridesmaids and looked fabulous in their purple regalia. Each carried bouquets of delicate hydrangeas and delphiniums in lavender and white, designed by the brilliant florist Mary Mulqueen. The flowers were otherworldly and perfectly complemented the Irish landscape.

The couple met when Brett proposed to Andrea on Christmas Day 2008 in a private and luxurious setting. He proposed to her at the Sandy Lane Resort in Barbados, a favourite haunt of the rich and famous. He gave her a £60,000 diamond ring and sealed the deal.
