The opportunity to marry in a Hogwarts-style castle is proving to be a palpable hit – particularly when combined with delicious cuisine from caterers, Town and Country.
As part of the recent Diamond Jubilee tour of Wales, Town and Country was recently appointed to cater for Her Majesty, The Queen, and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Since opening its doors to weddings in 2011, St Donat’s Castle has grown steadily and is looking forward to welcoming 31 more weddings between May and September this summer.
Karen Davies, the College’s Commercial Manager said, ‘St Donat’s Castle is rapidly gaining a reputation as an exclusive and distinctive wedding venue. The castle and its spectacular gardens offer wonderful photo opportunities and spectacular sea views.
All wedding catering, at St Donat’s Castle, is provided by Town & Country Caterers who bring a wealth of experience and menus of the highest standard. Their knowledge and expertise ensures attention to detail and delicious food.
Karen added, ‘I am particularly pleased to be working with Town and Country Catering. They provide the total wedding package, from an intimate breakfast to a full banquet. I congratulate Stephen Banks and his team on recently being appointed to cater for Her Majesty The Queen on her visit to South Wales. It was a great honour for them, and I have no doubt they will continue to provide the same level of service here at St Donat’s Castle.’
Stephen Banks, who heads the catering department at Town and Country, said, ‘It was indeed a tremendous honour to serve Her Majesty, The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. I am equally delighted with our association with St Donat’s Castle, which I believe to be one of the finest venues in Wales.’
