Cosmo Bride and She Magazine have closed publication with immediate effect.
It’s a sad day for the wedding industry when such a popular and well-presented print publication ends, and our thoughts go out to the staff who worked on the magazine.
So why did these lifestyle magazines have to fold? In an email to staff Arnaud de Puyfontaine, the chief executive of Hearst Magazines UK, said both titles would be closed because their goal was to strengthen their overall portfolio and to focusing on their better performing titles and digital expansion.
It was said that the strategy would be to focus on the ever popular You & Your Wedding by “blending the best of Cosmopolitan Bride into both the printed magazine and website”. It will be interesting to see how this will all pans out.
