Gibson Hall boasts two large event spaces that are both licenced for weddings. The Ballroom is a grand and ornate space that boasts 3 stunning crystal chandeliers, this venue was a great location for our wedding inspired shoot.
My inspiration stemmed from my colleague Eva who works for The Perfect Wedding Company who described the room as reminding her of the dance scene from Beauty and the Beast. Given the venue’s history and era of the style, it was a perfect opportunity to build from one of Disney’s most renowned films, also coming back out to cinemas this year featuring Emma Watson!
The dynamics of the layout of the room and the deep sensual nature of beauty and the beast, our photographer SanShine Photography captured a much more dark romance to this shoot. Utilising the room’s grand chandeliers we brought out the classic element to a deep and sensual ambience.
The Custom Cake Company created a breathtaking 6 tier cake that mimicked that of the magic rose from the film itself with added gold flecks! We had it sat dazzling us in all its glory in the centre of a sequin covered table.
Carly Rogers Flowers matched the red roses for the grand table. Using 3 large centrepieces either side complimented with single stem roses cascading along the table covered with flickering candles. In the centre of the stunning arrangements, we hosted a single golden candelabra from The Event Hire Company that acted as the centre point of the table.
Given the grand chandeliers in the ballroom, we sat a white starlight dancefloor in the centre for our bride and groom to dance under, from The Event Hire Company. The bride wore an incredible creation made by Chantal Mallett Bridal couture that swooped across the floor just like Belle! Complimented with Chantal’s gorgeous accessories to match the intricate detailing topped off with an elegant crown.
Our handsome groom wore a Tailor Made London suite that boasted two-tone materials for the label and the jacket & trouser combination, their suites are styled using 3D scanners to take the perfect measurement then handcrafted to provide a much more bespoke feel and look.
Patricia Soper Hair & Makeup created a much more modern and sophisticated look, a singular plait adorned with rose shaped curls running downwards to fit with the look, our model bride’s features were subtle but deep, golden eyeshadow to create that dusky warm look matched with rose red lips and a light toner to bring out those cheek bones.
