International Wedding Trend Report 2017

Last Friday saw the long awaited live stream pre-launch of the International Wedding Trend Report for 2017. Academy HQ excitement had reached fever pitch as we waited to see the attempt an industry first, to live stream an online TV show simultaneously across both YouTube and  Academy Facebook Pages.

The set was to die for and bang on trend. Amazing stylist Pamella Dunn dreamt up a fabulous concept with an edgy take on the trend of ‘bringing the outside in‘. The team at Typical Type provided the our gorgeous lighting installation and all the set props and furniture from Event Prop Hire brought the entire thing to life, including two grass covered sofas.

International Wedding Trend Report 2017Two fantastic experts, Louise Beukes of wedding and lifestyle blog B.Loved and Bernadette Chapman of Dream Occasions and founder of the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners, standing by on Skype so could cross live to them during the broadcast. A wonderful mixologist was waiting to make cocktails from Mix and Twist and of course special guests in the studio, Pamella Dunn from Pamella Dunn Events and the Academy’s  Zoe McKeown, lead tutor, course consultant and wedding planner, along with 4 talented students. They even had the talented team from Catherine Elizabeth to do the hair and make-up, and of course the wonderful tech team from Crosscut Media who made the magic happen and Cream Photography.

A sneak preview of the trends that are going to be gracing us with their presence in 2017. We also heard about which social media platforms are going to be popular with our bridal couples, so we can get ahead of the game and make sure we are upto speed on how to use them for our own marketing campaigns. From doughnut walls to gin bars we are set to have a great year in the wedding world, but don’t take my word for it.

Check out the live pre-launch below on playback to find out what all the fuss was about.

Don’t forget that the full 140+ page report comes out on the 4th of January, 2017 and you can have your FREE copy delivered straight to your Inbox, but you do need to subscribe, so click here to make sure you get your copy.
