Real wedding: Caribbean vibes in Florida

Overlooking the beautiful bay, Julie and John chose a waterfront wedding at The Caribbean Resort in the Florida Keys for their special day. They filled it with music and sunshine, celebrating with their very best friends.

Julie’s dress had a ruffled skirt and lace bodice, matching the stationery and her short veil, which showed off her ruffled train perfectly. Groom and groomsmen chose a complimentary navy, and bridesmaids were in blush pink, matching the flowers. Peonies, roses and plenty of fresh foliage made up the bouquets, with runners of greenery and white flowers decorating the tables.

The beachy Caribbean theme ran throughout the day, with seashells, palm trees and a Caribbean menu. Rustic wooden tables were simply decorated with candles and flowers, letting the pink palette really pop! Such a lovely way to incorporate a Caribbean vibe with a pretty pastel shade. Vintage photographs and a ‘guest guitar’ for guests to sign instead of a guestbook, gave the day a truly personal feel. It’s so fun to include little touches like this to make the day your own. As a surprise, Julie had a cake made for John in the shape of a guitar, to celebrate his passion.

Rounding off the day perfectly, the couple and their family and friends danced under the stars to a live band – the perfect entertainment for musician John – and he even played for the bride’s dance with her dad.
