Taylor and Nicholas wed in their happy place

With a classic palette of black and white with a hint of gold, Taylor and Nicholas wed in their happy place – Longboat Key, California.

A white and black palette is so elegant, and Taylor chose a floating white strapless gown to match, with layers of tulle and a sweet train. I love the cute detail on the back, and the sparkling waistband just adds a little touch of glamour! Her bridesmaids were in neutral tones, perfect for an outdoor wedding in the sun, and wore mismatched gowns that looked stunning against the blue sky, green palms and white flowers. Nicholas and his groomsmen chose classic black tuxedos – a really sharp choice to contrast with the white and neutral tones of the girls.

Both Taylor and Nicholas incorporated a piece of their mothers’ wedding dresses into their outfits – such a beautiful touch. Taylor had a piece of lace stitched inside and Nicholas had his as a pocket square – both next to their hearts.

Flowers were white – sweet gypsophila for adorning the hair and roses and twisted lisianthus for the bouquets. White candles stood in vintage birdcage style storm lanterns and swathes of white fabric sparkled with fairylights. Their gold brushed wedding cake also had a flash of fresh flowers as well as a monogram of their initials.

The wedding was relaxed and joyful, with the couple laughing from beginning to end. Guests were provided with flip-flops for tired dancing feet as well as a hangover kit in the morning!
