Five favourite summer bridal gowns

Let’s take a moment to pause and have a look at some of the most breathtaking summer bridal gowns. Think beach weddings, garden weddings, watching a glorious sunset and dancing under the stars. Here are my five favourites!

Simple elegance

You can rely on Jenny Packham for soft elegance and unstructured style, and I’m in love with Chance from her 2018 collection. With beautiful pleating and a wide satin waistband, the unassuming beauty of the silk chiffon speaks for itself. Perfect for an outdoor celebration.

Lace Layers

The prettiest layering in Charlotte in the Muse by Berta collection makes this one a pure show stopper. Cute dropped shoulders and sweet buttons decorate a deep V neckline and then the skirt is the best of both worlds! Elegant, figure-hugging lace with a thigh-high split is covered with a flowing, whisper-thin skirt that adds movement and a really light feel.

Separate Style

How about this for something a little different? Bridal separates are such a fun alternative to a full gown, and perfect for a more relaxed wedding. This Oscar de la Renta Lucy skirt packs a punch though, with layers of white tulle and a sweet bow. You can team it with any bridal top; structured bodice, lace leotard, bejewelled crop – there are so many possibilities to really make your outfit your own.

Starry Eyed

If you’re planning on dancing under the stars all night, why not make your dress match? Gala-1002 from Galia Lahav’s fifth Gala collection is a stella choice. A plunging neckline and matching back, it’s scattered with twinkling stars thrown across the tulle skirt and sweet unstructured train.

Twisted Traditional

If you’re after something simple and elegant, take a look at Naomi Neoh’s 2018 Celestial collection. My favourite, Luna, has sweet straps and a pretty beaded bodice and has a beautiful movement through the skirt. A full scalloped train gives you that ‘traditional’ bridal look with a modern twist.
