Created by Le Dolci bakery in Toronto, the extravagant cupcake is thought to be the world’s most expensive, beating the current record holder being the $450 Decadence D’Or cupcake at Las Vegas’ The Palazzo.
The cake was commissioned by a man who wanted to create a unique and personalised cupcake for his wife’s 40th birthday.
After a few days of brainstorming, the pastry team came up with a concoction made with some of the most expensive ingredients in the world, including Krug Collection Brut champagne, 24-karat gold leaves, and a limited edition Courvoisier.
If you fancy having some of these for your wedding, it will set you back $900 and Le Dolci will make the cupcake via special order.
Ingredients to this pricey cake:
- Kona Blue Mountain coffee

- Tahitian vanilla beans
