Escaping down a rabbit hole of fantasy, Galia Lahav’s latest Gala collection takes inspiration from Alice in Wonderland. The collection is—in Lahav’s words—“giving the bride an alternative to the obvious, with trendy but classic and elegant moods all in one collection.” With influences of Edwardian fairytale heroines, untamed garden labyrinths and a touch of Tim Burton glamour, I think these gowns are something a little different, for a bride whose personality needs something to match! Here are my 5 Star favourite five – you can find the full collection here.
With an asymmetric 3d embroidered tulle top layer tumbling down the skirt like roses in a garden, I love the way it stretches up and wraps round the bodice as well, like the dress has been pulled straight from the rose garden. The tulle layered skirt gives an effortless softness as well.
Scattered flowers, embroidered lace and sequins create the most fastastical gown, with illusion panels and a high turtleneck dipping down to a sweetheart neckline. I love the subtle blush colour of this one, and the inserts create a gorgeous movement within the skirt.
If you’re going to choose a jumpsuit, this one has to be on your list. Covered in sparkles, the asymmetric detail is so unusual, with a diagonal plunge. I love the puffed sleeve and waist details too!
Dripping with beaded embellishments, this silk chiffon dress simply sparkles. Cut outs and lace inserts add beautiful detail, together with a dramatic plunging neckline.
How cute is this little dress?! With a corset top embroidered with 3D sequin flowers and satin balloon skirt, this is such a sweet option. I love the delicate tulle sleeves and whimsical scattered flowers. I think this would be the perfect second dress, or main option for a cute kitsch theme.
