The colour of fading bluebells, I love a lilac colour palette, it’s perfect for this time of year. Soft and elegant, it looks gorgeous teamed with muted pale green tones and is a perfect pastel shade as an alternative to pink. Here’s some of my favourite ways to incorporate a lilac palette into your day.
Flowers and stationery
Your stationery is the first place your guests will see your lilac palette, so make it a pretty first impression! Lilac is such a delicate tone, and sits perfectly alongside light wood and greenery. Why not include some dried lavender along with your save the date cards or invitations, as a fragrant addition? You could carry this through to your wedding day, and fragrance the day with beautiful fresh lavender – the perfect colour for your palette!
I love the watercolour seats here too – adding touches of your palette to your tablescape in the flowers, table linen or candles will compliment the table stationery perfectly. Add a metallic for extra sparkle. Gold lifts the lilac tone beautifully and adds a little glamour.
Fashion and food
Are you brave enough to rock a lilac dress?! If not, how about these stunning Jimmy Choos? Make sure you go for a high-low hemline with these, to show them off in all their glory! Or if not, lilac hints on your personalised Converse – and lilac ribbons as laces, of course.
And what about your food? Cute dessert tables with eclairs, doughnuts and macarons would look pretty as a picture! And how about some lavender lemonade?
