While we were enjoying a warmer than average October here in the UK, over in New York, International Bridal Fashion Week was in full swing. We thought weād take a look back at some of the shows and share some of our favourite pieces with you. So grab a glass of wine, snuggle up on the sofa and take some time to scroll through our top picks. Hopefully weāll give you some inspiration for your own special day.
Stunning embellishments from Val Stefani

When we saw this one, it was love at first sight. The elegant beading and intricate embellishment of the back of this dress is simply stunning. A gorgeous dropped back and elegant straps finish off the dress perfectly. The back of your dress is so important ā itās the main feature during the ceremony, and throughout the day youāll no doubt have your back to many guests as you mingle and chat, so make it a good one! We also adore the simple puddle train with a soft overlay ā so graceful.
Lovely Lace from Kelly Faetanini

And if youāre after a beautifully designed back, how about this offering from Kelly Faetanini? Lovely lace winding up to the straps and down through the train in a stunning full circle. Off the shoulder is such a stylish look ā wear your hair up to elongate the neck and then adorn with sparkling diamonds. We love the delicate lace work on this beauty ā with embellishment extending all round the hemline, guests will not be able to take their eyes off the beautiful bride.
Sparkles galore from Inbal Dror

If youāre up for something a bit different, why not take inspiration from this Inbal Dror creation? Glistening down the catwalk, this stunner is perfect for an outdoor wedding ā no soggy, muddy hems here! And a perfect opportunity to show off your couture shoes. No less glamourous or sophisticated, we love the deep V neckline and gorgeous layers of billowing lace petticoats.
Muted bliss from Hayley Paige

Adding a bit of colour to your wedding dress is very on trend. But if you donāt want to push the boat out too far, Hayley Paige has created a perfect muted grey dress. Studded with sparkles, the bodice catches the light from every angle and the soft, elegant skirt balances out the detail in a simple, understated manner. A busy bodice needs a simple skirt, and we think this ticks the box perfectly. If youāre planning an autumn or winter wedding, a soft grey dress is a great colour choice. Traditional whites and ivories can appear harsh against the fading light and colours of the season.
Erin Cole’s pretty pair

Oh, Erin Cole⦠what a simply stunning gown. If youāre up for a daring thigh split and plunging neckline, we think this dress fits the brief perfectly. The abundance of simple, soft unstructured fabric ensures the dress remains classy and sophisticated, and the lace bodice is just so pretty.
If, however, this isnāt quite for you, surely our other favourite from Erin Cole will be right up your street. A soft, fluffy marshmallow skirt and gently embellished sleeves leave a simple back. The lace on this is just gorgeous and the sleeves are a perfect choice for the chillier seasons.

Galia Lahav’s epic train

If youāre all about the train, though, this superb piece from Galia Lahav’s couture collection has got to be the way to go. Lace embellishment, a daring dropped back and piles of gorgeous soft train mean all eyes on the bride. The mermaid style means you can show off your figure whilst indulging in the train of your dreams. We love the detail running through the fabric, a real luxury touch.
This yearās offerings from New York Bridal Fashion Week are all from the designersā Fall 2017 collections. So many stunning gowns, we really struggled to choose our favourite!
