Trends, collections and so much white!
While we’re waiting for a glimpse of Meghan Markle’s wedding dress to spark trends for the next year, we’ve been getting our fill of new and beautiful bridal gowns at London Bridal Week and the White Gallery.
London Bridal Week is always a favourite event for us; we adore spotting new trends, seeing new designs and indulging in everything bridal, and this year, London Bridal week co-located with the White Gallery where we immersed ourselves in the gorgeous new dress collections of our favourite designers. This year we saw sparkles, colours, jackets and lots of statement pieces. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the gorgeous gowns gliding off the runway and onto brides in 2019.

Jenny Packham opens the week
With touches of blue accenting her signature ethereal style, Jenny Packham opened the week with a collection of beautifully embellished gowns. Halternecks, draped sleeves, pink sparkles and even a couple of totally sequinned gowns drifted down the runway alongside a couple of very chic jumpsuits, celestial capes and an awesome pink leather jacket, perfect for an alternative bride.

Jackets
Jackets were a hot trend on the catwalk, with Sassi Holford and Suzanne Neville, among others, featuring gorgeous tailoring to suit different styles. We can see this trend growing to give a great alternative to wraps, shrugs and capes.

Feathers!
All over the place! Slipping down from headpieces to capes and into skirts. So much texture and movement.

Classics and statements
We loved seeing that classic silhouettes will never go out of style as well as some new shapes, tiers and pretty pastel colours.

…as well as some stunning embellishments and a trend for simple, bold statement pieces.

And finally… mermaid sequins, anyone…? They’re coming!!

We loved being a media partner for this event and can’t wait to see you beautiful brides in some of these gorgeous creations for your 2019 weddings. For more catwalk trends, see our 2018 wedding dress trend report and our predictions for style in our 2018 trend alert.
