Today, 17th August, marks 53 years since the wedding of Hollywood mainstays, Jack Lemmon and Felicia Farr.
Farr and Lemmon were married in 1962, a second marriage for both of them. They had one child together, and each became step-parent to children from the other’s previous marriage. In the early 1960s, even for the rich and famous, that counted as a very modern marriage. They remained devoted to one another until Lemmon’s death in 2001.
