Inspired by the sunny yellow walls of the Poundon House drawing room, this style shoot is the perfect summer inspiration. With a distinctly bohemian vibe, natural light, textured greenery and gorgeous florals were used to create a fresh and colourful atmosphere.
Poundon House is a charming Edwardian-era country house, set within beautifully landscaped grounds that has been lovingly restored to its original splendour. This Oxfordshire gem features nine bedrooms, three large reception rooms, a handsome library and an intimate wood-panelled study.
The drawing room, however, is a gorgeous surprise of bright yellow, which complimented the gorgeous cakes perfectly. The cakes, cupcakes and cookies were all hand painted and decorated with touches of gold in Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium’s signature baroque style. Bringing the outdoors in, they were painted with flower motifs and bird and butterfly designs and adorned with exquisite handmade sugar flowers.
Continuing the theme, pops of floral colour adorned every surface in the room, making elegant place settings simply shine.
The dresses were specially chosen for the fresh and bohemian shoot by stylist Charlotte Munro from top designers Berta, Savannah Miller and Naeem Khan. They were soft, flowing and light to reflect the relaxed feel of a boho or vintage themed wedding.
The gorgeous florals, created by Indeco Flowers, ranged from pale pinks through to vivid pinks, blues and violets. Natural greenery set off the bouquet and displays, maintaining the relaxed, boho theme.
