Married in Mallorca on a sun-drenched Spanish celebration
Married in Mallorca – On the beautiful island of Mallorca, drenched in sun and surrounded by loved ones, Katharina and Christian celebrated their love in a beautiful way. Here are some of the highlights of their fabulous day.
The Bride
Katharina wore a gorgeous A-line dress designed by Mira Zwillinger. With a lace overlay bodice transforming to a low cut back, the bodice was just such a pretty feature. Her skirt moved with layers of beautiful tulle, and the train was accented by the raw edge custom Vera Wang veil that cascaded down to it. She chose beautiful classic midnight blue Manolo Blahnik shoes for a little accent of colour.
The groom
Dressed in a classic morning suit, Christian accessorised with a striking blue Hermés tie, matching his bride’s blue Manolo Blahnik pumps. For the reception, he chose a custom-made suit for a more relaxed feel.
The girls
The bridesmaids each wore the same style dress in different colours. Lace work cut-outs and thin straps made these dresses a cool option in the Spanish heat. The girls wore footwear of their choice – a lovely idea to make sure they were comfortable in their own shoes!
The guys
The groomsmen wore suits with a blue, patterned tie – a darker shade to the groom’s, with accents of the lighter blue worn by the groom. A great idea for coordinating the guys’ outfits.
The flowers
Simple white gypsophila adorned the bridesmaids’ heads and decorated the church entrance. The bride carried a beautiful small hand tied bouquet of white blooms, with her bridesmaids holding miniature versions, and gorgeous white roses, daisies and peonies mixed with lush deep greenery covered the reception tables. Keeping a simple palette of white and green makes such a fresh display, especially in the heat!
The ceremony
The couple said their vows in a stunning traditional church, witnessed by their close friends and family, before heading outside the impressive building, with beautiful marble features and ancient walls.
The celebration
An alfresco meal followed, in a sun-drenched courtyard. One long banquet table was prettily decorated with impressive candlesticks and more beautiful creeping greenery.
The party continued into the night with live music and plenty of dancing.
