Blue skies and dark castles
Set in a beautiful castle near Florence, this wedding had all the traits of a beautiful fairytale. Our friends at Infinity Weddings made sure all the details were just perfect, and we thought we’d share the gorgeous day with you!
The bride
Christina chose a beautiful strapless ballgown with a layered skirt and gorgeous beaded embellishment cascading down. A sweet train and short, crystal-edged veil completed the look, with tousled dark curls and minimal jewellery – a great idea to avoid detracting from the beautiful dress.
The groom
Handsome in a classic black tuxedo, Curt chose a pink brocade bowtie to match the bridesmaids’ dresses and a crisp white pocket square.
The colour palette
An outside wedding has all the colour you need! The happy couple chose white flowers with touches of pink to keep a muted, simple and pretty palette. Flowers at the reception were pure white with a gold theme running through décor to give an opulent vibe to the castle wedding. Bridesmaids were in sweet pink dresses, a lovely choice against the natural setting.
The ceremony
Held outside with not a cloud in the sky the ceremony was held in the beautiful lush green gardens. White rose petals lined the aisle and the couple exchanged vows with the mountains as their backdrop.
The celebration
A castle is such a grand venue for a wedding! With heaps of history and ample photo ops, the banquet had so much atmosphere, it combined perfectly with the garden wedding for the most dramatic celebration. A venue like this doesn’t need a huge amount of dressing, the architecture speaks for itself!
A gorgeous day under beautiful Italian sun – thanks to Infinity Weddings for sharing this stunning celebration with us!
